Budget Savvy Movie Night

As I was driving home from Fearless Fitness last night I started thinking about my plans for Memorial Day weekend. Paul is heading to Detroit for an historical swordfighting convention. While he is gone, I will be hosting an old fashion "barn raising" party as my friends and family are coming over to help me landscape our backyard.

I was thinking about the evenings that I will be on my own and the thought of Dante and I watching movies while munching on popcorn sounded like bliss. Instead of renting movies, I am going to search the "Movies" category in Tivo and look for movies to record for that weekend.

This is something that I do every oncein-awhile when I anticipate having some free time on my hands. I have seen recently released movies this way as well as old movies featuring my favorite actors such as Gary Grant, Katherine Hepburn and John Wayne. I get the opportunity to watch movies that I would never think to rent and all for what I am already paying for in cable and Tivo costs. Plus, I don't have to leave the house to rent or return the movies.
