Dante and I spent a rare weeknight at home together yesterday. It was wonderful! I made whole wheat pasta with broccoli in a garlic and olive oil sauce. Later in the evening we made popcorn on the stovetop and watched Journey to the Center of the Earth.
I find that when I am home by myself or just with Dante, I usually crave very simplistic meals. I was tempted to crack open a bottle of wine but opted for a Newcastle instead. It almost felt like a weekend night.
Susan, one of the coaches at Fearless Fitness had to have surgery on her ankle last month, so I picked up one of her teaching nights. I thoroughly enjoy teaching her classes and being at the school, but I am glad the extra night of teaching is temporary. It's crucial to have just one night at home during the week to run errands, putter around the house or just relax with a book or movie on Tivo.
