The Tosetti Family Garden - Week 2

I enjoyed adding to our vegetable garden yesterday. We now have two roma tomato plants. I'm considering a third, but haven't decided yet. The romas will be turned into sun dried tomatoes.

We also added a second Big Boy tomato plant. Those tomatoes will be used for everything from Paul's pasta sauce to bruschetta.

I have seven corn plants started. The price of corn was silly last year so we will try raising our own. I can freeze what we don't eat immediately.

I added one cucumber plant and one bell pepper as well. I'll have to ask my grandmother for her stuffed bell pepper recipe.

I have had the hardest time finding basil plants this spring. We practically drink pesto so I finally decided to start plants from seed. I started six plants yesterday and will do an additional six plants next week. Let's hope 12 plants will keep us in pesto at least through fall.
