$12.99 Score at Target

I had accepted the idea of taking my 12 year old leather backpack with me to Disneyland. I love it and it has traveled with me to China, Scotland, Canada and several Disneyland trips. Despite its mileage, it looks good as new and doesn't scream tourist as much as a regular backpack. However, when I discovered this cute cross-body purse at Target for just $12.99, I thought it might be good to give my old stand by a break for this next trip.

We leave in just a few days and I am happily packed. By the way, thank you Cheryl for the roll the clothes suggestion. It worked brilliantly! I managed to get my clothes, Dante's clothes, 6 night diapers and 32 day diapers all in one carry on bag.

For those of you that think I may be a little too eager to go to Disneyland because I packed four days in advance, I'd like to point out that my father-in-law has been packed for a week. In truth, I am really looking forward to the trip, but it's actually my schedule that forces me to pack the weekend before we travel. At least four days a week I work 12 hour days between Budget Savvy and Fearless Fitness. If I wait to the last minute I get stressed out. By packing in advance I give myself several days to remember what I may have forgotten. It's not fool-proof, but my stress level doesn't peak and that's really important when it comes to vacations. I want to enjoy my time with my family, not stress about the fact that I forgot underwear.
