I am very excited to announce that I will be teaching two separate classes at Chabot College next month in a series titled "Living the Budget Savvy Life: Spend Smart, Live Rich".

MONEY & HOME MANAGEMENT BASICS
Saturday, March 14th from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
No matter how much money you make, the key to successfully managing your finances is to spend less than you make. But how do you do it? This two-part class shows you how easy it is to successfully manage your finances so you can afford to spend money on the things that are important to you.

Money Management Basics shows you:
  • how to spend less than you make
  • how to save 15% - 20% of your income
  • how to create habits that make managing your finances easy
  • how to afford to spend money on the things that are important to you
Home Management Basics shows you:
  • how to create a home that reflects you
  • how to use a Home Notebook to stay organized
  • how to prioritize home projects
  • how to shop for meals, not groceries
  • how to manage your pantry and refrigerator

HOW TO AFFORD THE FUN STUFF

You CAN create a wardrobe full of clothes that make you look and feel wonderful. You CAN enjoy life with the money you are making right now. All it takes is a little budget savvy!

The Budget Savvy Recreation session shows you:

  • where to find admission discounts to movies, museums and more
  • how to plan ahead for dining out
  • how to use restaurant coupons
  • how to budget for vacations
  • where to find those great vacation deals
The Budget Savvy Fashion session shows you:

  • how to find treasure at thrift stores, vintage stores and auction sites
