Snow Trip 2009

Tomorrow morning at 7:30 am, Paul and I will pack up the car, buckle Dante into his car seat and head to Tahoe for our annual snow trip. For those of you who may not be familiar with our tradition, instead of buying Christmas gifts for each other, my friends (including Budget Savvy staff members: Kevin, Janna and Mark and our friends Jesse, Karl, Geoff and of course Paul and Dante) and I all chip in and rent a cabin for a weekend in North Lake Tahoe. The tradition is now 13 years old. It is an event that that is sacred to us all.

As a result of last year's after-work, 10 hour drive in a blizzard, we opted for a leisurely morning drive up the mountain. The weather looks good so we should be throwing snowballs at each other by noon.

I was able to secure our usual cabin. We are looking forward to using the hot tub again, shooting pool, playing board games and of course sledding down our favorite nearby hills. I'll tell you all about it next week. I hope you all have a great weekend too.
